Liverpool Has Reached Chelsea’s Unbeatable Record

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Liverpool’s inexorable record this time has been the same as Chelsea’s 40 games.  This achievement was achieved after Liverpool won the match against Wolverhampton 2-1.

Liverpool faces Wolves at Molineux on Friday (1/24/2020) early morning Western Indonesian Time.  Jordan Henderson opened the Liverpool advantage when creating a quick goal in the eighth minute.

Wolves showed resistance by scoring the equalizing goal that Raul Jimenez made early in the second half.  Roberto Firmino then became a differentiator by scoring a goal that put Liverpool back ahead in the last seven minutes at the same time to ensure victory.

With this victory, Liverpool continues to be strong at the top of the Premier League standings after collecting 67 points from 23 matches.  The red Merseyside is 14 points ahead of defending champions Manchester City in second place, which has played 24 matches.

This victory helped sharpen Liverpool’s unbeaten run which has now taken 40 games in the league.  The Red matched the Chelsea record that occurred in the 2004/05 season.

Liverpool is still on track to match Arsenal’s invincible record.  The Gunners never drove unbeaten in 49 matches in the Premier League in 2003/04, which until now can not be matched by any team.

“You might be bored with me for saying it, but it’s all about the next match,” Henderson said after the match with BT Sport.  “I just want to keep going.”

“Every game is the biggest match of the season. We have an FA Cup match at the weekend, we need to continue to build on what we have achieved so far.”
