Liverpool Make friends with Late Goals
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Liverpool under the care of Jurgen Klopp has won dramatically through a late goal against Aston Villa, at Villa Park, in the continuingPremier League match.
Andy Robertson and Sadio Mane played key roles in the remaining time. Their header was both able to ensure Liverpool in returning to Anfield with three points. A distance of six points from Mancester City in second place is still maintained.
Liverpool is not too familiar with the victory in injury time. OptaJoe noted, the 18-time league champion was the team to score the most goals in the final seconds of the match. Sadio Mane’s goal was the 35th time for the Reds to break the opponent’s goal at the end of the match.
Last season, Divock Origi’s header sealed his side’s victory over Everton in the derby that took place at Goodison Park. Earlier, in 2016, Adam Lallana secured his team’s 5-4 win over Norwich City when the match left a few more seconds to end.
Two seasons earlier, Liverpool sealed victory with an own goal by Steven Caulker in the 90th minute. The match ended 3-2 for the Reds when competing at Loftus Road, the opposite enclosure.
Jordan Henderson and colleagues’ records are still the best among the other teams. Arsenal only recorded 25 wins. Consecutively followed by Manchester United and Totteham Hotspur who pocketed 22 wins. And Chelsea with 21 wins in the final minutes.
