Liverpool not Only in Luck, Pep Guardiola Gives Praise

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Ahead of the match against Liverpool this weekend, Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, praised his potential opponents. He considered that the results that Liverpool have obtained so far were not just luck.

Manchester City will face Liverpool in the 2019-2020 Premier League match, at Anfield Stadium, Sunday (11/10). The Citizens were predicted not to win easily.

Currently, Liverpool are in a consistent performance. Of the matches that have been played in the Premier League, Liverpool have not even fallen. Not surprisingly, the Reds are at the top of the standings.

Liverpool incarnated as a strong club. The Reds often won by lagging first. An example is the duel against Aston Villa. Despite being left behind 1-0, Liverpool were able to turn around 1-2.

Pep Guardiola felt great in turning things around, which proves Liverpool aren’t a team that relies on luck. As the Reds did not do this once or twice.

“We need competitors like them to rise up as a club, not just a team. For me, as a club, they push us to reach the next step,” said Guardiola as reported by BT Sport.

“When people say Liverpool are lucky, and Man City players say the same thing, I don’t think it’s luck. Luck is when it happens once or twice. However, last season it happened six to seven times (victory at the last minute). Getting up and win. That’s a special thing. “

“They have a good mentality and talent to learn that. I don’t believe there is luck in football if it continues. So, it’s because they are talented.”

Pep Guardiola’s positive assessments has been cooling during the duel. Previously, Guardiola had attacked the Reds spearhead, Sadio Mane, by calling him a diving.
