Liverpool Will Raise the Premier League Trophy without Supporters

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has banned supporters from joining The Reds in lifting the Premier League trophy. The rule is applied because the Covid-19 pandemic has not abated.

Liverpool will host Chelsea at Anfield in the 37th week of the English League on Thursday (7/232020). After the match, The Reds will certainly celebrate the title by lifting the Premier League trophy on their own turf.

Liverpool finally completed the wait for 30 years to re-lift the most prestigious trophy in the Land of the Three Lions. The Reds fans are clearly looking forward to this moment.

But given the Covid-19 outbreak that hasn’t turn down, the fans can’t celebrate this Liverpool title directly at Anfield. Because the game against Chelsea is still held without spectators.

Merseyside Police also urge Liverpool fans not to crowd around Anfield to welcome the success of their favorite team. They are even ready to take decisive action if the fans remain determined to come to Anfield.

Henderson really hopes Liverpool fans adhere to this appeal. He wants fans to stay home celebrating the success of Juergen Klopp’s team winning the English League title this season.

“I cannot say clearly enough that it is very important for you to stay away from Anfield. It’s best that we enjoy and celebrate our successes in your own way, at home,” Henderson said as quoted by Liverpool Echo.

“The city of Liverpool has been hit hard by COVID-19, and it is important for us to support the heroes, the health workers. Let’s listen to the appeal by moving away from the insecure crowd,” he added.
