Liverpool’s Success Under the Direction of Jurgen Klopp had been Predicted by Sir Alex Ferguson

DBasia.news – Being included in one of the top clubs in England and Europe, turns out has been predicted by Sir Alex Ferguson since three years ago. At that time Ferguson stated that Liverpool would succeed under the tutelage of Jurgen Klopp.
Since he first landed, Jurgen Klopp was able to change Liverpool and bring back the Reds to the row of top clubs in England and Europe.
In his first season, the former Borussia Dortmund coach took Liverpool to appear in the League Cup and Europa League final. Although ultimately failing to win the trophy, there is a different view in Liverpool.
Until finally in 2019, Klopp led Liverpool to become Champions League victors after defeating Tottenham Hotspur in the final match. Klopp also almost brought Liverpool to end the fasting of becoming the Premier League champions. The Reds failed to becoming victors despite having earned 97 points and had to settle for second place.
This season Klopp opened it by accompanying Liverpool to win the European Super Cup after beating Chelsea. Klopp was also chosen as the 2019 FIFA Best Coach. Not only that, Liverpool currently sit at the top of the Premier League standings after recording perfect results until the eighth week.
Looking back, what Klopp presented at Liverpool was predicted by Sir Alex Ferguson. The legendary manager of Manchester United, who retired two years before Klopp’s arrival, had even predicted that Liverpool would be above his former care.
“He (Klopp) has done a very good job. He revived the enthusiasm at Liverpool,” Ferguson said in 2016 as quoted by talkSport.
“For two decades Liverpool changed their managers without building their own identity. Now you really can feel that Liverpool must start to be taken into account.”
“I am worried. As one thing that Manchester United does not want is that Liverpool are above us,” continued Ferguson.
Seeing what happened last season and now, what worries Ferguson has happened. United are now far below Liverpool. United’s position could be even worse if they fail to achieve maximum results when hosting Klopp’s troops at Old Trafford Stadium, Sunday (10/20).
