Lorenzo Pellegrini, the best player in the conference league

DBasia.news – AS Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini has just been named Player of the Season in the Conference League by the UEFA Technical Observer Panel. After Roma beat Feyenoord in Tirana, Thursday (26/5).

With this trophy, AS Roma won their first major European tournament since 1961. This is also Jose Mourinho’s first trophy since arriving at the club ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Thanks to his slick performance, Pellegrini deserves to be rewarded by being at the top of the list as the best player in the third caste competition in Europe.

The 25-year-old player has scored five goals in 12 matches in the UEFA Conference League, including in the preliminary round, four of the ten matches from the group stage to the final.

Pellegrini also scored in the semi-finals against Leicester City.

The UEFA panel also selected the Team of the Season, which included four AS Roma players, namely Pellegrini, Tammy Abraham, Chris Smalling and Rui Patricio.
