Losing from Chelsea, Liverpool’s Chance to Win the Treble Fail

DBasia.news –  Liverpool had to be defeat when they traveled to Stamford Bridge against Chelsea in the fifth round of the FA Cup, Wednesday (04/03) AM with a score of 0-2.

In that match, two Chelsea goals were scored by Willian and Ross Barkley. These results has made Chelsea qualify for the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

For Liverpool, this is the second defeat in four days. Previously, the Reds lost 0-3 to Watford in the 2019/20 Premier League follow-up. That was the first defeat of Liverpool in the Premier League this season.

Liverpool actually played well in this fight. The Reds had a good game transition from defense to attack, or vice versa. Chelsea, who competed before the public, played attacking.

Jurgen Klopp’s team almost conceded in the 12th minute. Luckily, goalkeeper Adrian San Miguel managed to save twice, from Willian and Barkley’s kick.

One minute later, Willian scored with a hard left-foot shot from outside the penalty box. Score 1-0 for Chelsea.

In the second half, the Blues added a goal from Ross Barkley’s solo run action in minute 64. Score 2-0 for Chelsea. Livepool was in a deadlock and was unable to score a goal.
