DBasia.news – Barcelona striker, Luis Suarez has surrendered in the hunt for the the LaLiga title this season. Suarez admitted that it was almost impossible for the Blaugrana to chase Real Madrid, who are in the top of the table.

Barcelona had topped the standings by two points. Then, the situation changed when the competition resumed after being postponed due to the corona virus pandemic.

Barca achieved three draws from the last nine matches. While Madrid won in the last nine matches.

“In the League you have to be self-critical. We let it escape from ourselves. We realize it all depends on us and not to look for any reason,” Suarez said as quoted by Goal.

Barcelona is second in the LaLiga standings with 79 points. While Real Madrid who are at the top has collected 83 points from 36 weeks that have taken place.

The 2019-20 LaLiga season has only two matches left and Real Madrid can be crowned champions if they defeat Villareal on Friday (7/17) AM.

“Now as a sign of our pride we must be able to win the remaining two matches and focus entirely on the only title we can win, the Champions League,” Suarez stated.

Barcelona’s three draws at the time occurred against Sevilla, Celta Vigo, and Atletico Madrid. However, what Suarez regretted the most was the draw against Celta Vigo.

“It’s clear that the match against Sevilla was a game that made things challenging. That day Vigo was the key and we lost a golden opportunity,” explained the former Liverpool striker.
