DBasia.news –  Despite achieving poor results in the quarterfinals of the English Cup, Wednesday (12/18) AM against Aston Villa, Liverpool managed to record a new history. In this fight, Liverpool involved a team of core players whose average age did not reach 20 years of age.

The Reds who had to divide their focus to the Club World Cup in Qatar were forced to play the majority of junior players in the match at Villa Park, and this resulted in the record for the youngest team of all time.

Led by U-23 squad coach, Neil Critchley, who took over the role of Jurgen Klopp, the average age of Liverpool’s early teams against The Villans is not even up to 20 years of age! Exactly only 19 years 182 days.

The youth squad containing Harvey Elliott (16 years), Sepp van den Berg (17), up to five debutants has made history as the youngest Liverpool team ever played in official competition.

Pedro Chirivella who is captain and Isaac Christie-Davies are the two oldest players in this team at the age of 22.

Despite appearing brave and troubled the defense of Villa at the beginning, the raw experience of the young army of the Reds were finally exposed and they were defeated by a score of 5-0.
