Man United Assessed Need a Qualified Striker for Rashford’s Substitute

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Former Manchester United goalkeeper Mark Bosnich rated the Red Devils need qualified attackers to become a substitute for Marcus Rashford

Rashford appeared sharp at the start of the season. He was able to score 14 goals in the Premiere League before being seriously injured.

Manchester United then brought Odion Ighalo on loan from Shanghai Shenhua in the 2020 winter transfer market. The Nigerian striker’s performance was not too bad by striking four goals in eight games in all competitions.

But, having two strikers in Anthony Martial and Ighalo and young player Mason Greenwood, is considered not enough by Bosnich. The Australian man said the front line should be Man United’s main focus in the upcoming transfer market.

“We saw Marcus Rashford’s injury, and United have to go and basically get another striker in Ighalo very quickly. I think Manchester United need to strengthen in that area to ensure that they get the best quality substitute player,” Bosnich told Sky Sports News.

“It’s not disrespect for Ighalo because he’s really fantastic since he entered. But, if I have to choose one new player, then I will choose an additional striker,” Bosnich added.

Rashford is currently focusing on recovering from the injuries that hit him since January 2020. The Englishman is Manchester United’s best player this season with 19 goals in 31 appearances in all competitions.
