Manchester City will not participate in the hunt for Jadon Sancho

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola stressed that his club would not participate in the hunt for Borussia Dortmund’s young striker, Jadon Sancho.

Sancho became one of the most sought after player in the transfer market this summer. Big clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester United, until Barcelona are eager to bring him in.

That is reasonable as Sancho has performed neatly with Borussia Dortmund this season. He scored a total of 20 goals and 20 assists from 44 matches in all competitions.

Manchester City themselves needs a new winger after Leroy Sane is almost certain to leave for Bayern Munich. Sancho is the ideal player to fill that role as he has a similar character.

But Manchester City has its own considerations regarding Sancho. The Citizens seem to still feel hurt by the player who chose to leave in 2017 when he was 17 years old.

“When he (Sancho) decided to move to Dortmund, it was not because he would decide to return two years later. “That doesn’t make sense,” Guardiola said.

“He doesn’t want to be here so that’s why he doesn’t want to come back here.”

Sancho left Manchester City one season after Guardiola’s arrival. At that time he was still strengthening the U-18 team.

Manchester City’s refusal to repatriate Sancho would certainly be a breath of fresh air for other Sancho enthusiasts. Manchester United is reportedly still at the forefront in the hunt for the 20-year-old winger, although they are still constrained by the high prices set by Dortmund.
