Manuel Pellegrini Actually doesn’t Want to Release Adrian

DBasia.news – Liverpool recruited Adrian, a former West Ham United goalkeeper, as a replacement for Simon Mignolet who returned to Belgium and strengthened Club Brugge.
Unexpectedly, Adrian underwent his debut with Jurgen Klopp’s squad unintentionally after replacing Alisson who suffered a calf injury in the inaugural Premier League match against Norwich City.
In fact, the Spaniard has just become a hero for the Reds, after helping Jurgen Klopp’s squad win the UEFA Super Cup title. He managed to ward off a penalty kick by a Chelsea player, Tammy Abraham.
Seeing his slick appearance, West Ham United coach Manuel Pellegrini admitted that he wanted to keep the Spanish goalkeeper as he entered the 2019/20 season.
“I am very happy for him because he has played for many years at West Ham. Adrian is a good goalkeeper,” Pellegrini was quoted as saying by Four Four Two.
“For various reasons, he could not find an agreement to continue his career here. We want Adrian to stay because he is a great player,” he concluded.
Never trusted to be dropped in the Premier League by Pellegrini because he lost competitiveness with Lukasz Fabianski, it seems to be the reason why the Spanish goalkeeper finally decided to move to Anfield Stadium.
