Marco Rose Discusses the Gladbach vs Rome Match

DBasia.news –  Marco Rose, Borussia Monchengladbach’s coach, assessed his team as being unworthy of athe 1-1 draw against AS Roma in the Europa League, because Roma’s penalty was not feasible.

Marco Rose’s statement could not be separated from the referee controversy who presented a penalty to Gladbach. In replays it appears that the ball touched Chris Smalling’s face, not his hand.

“It’s very clear that the ball didn’t touch Smalling’s hand. But that was the referee’s decision. I did not come here to discuss individual incidents. I wouldn’t have given out the penalty, so I understand the anger of Roma fans, “Rose said as reported by Italian Football on Friday (10/25/2019).

Not just a matter of penalty, the coach also highlighted the matter of goals scored by Nicolo Zaniolo’s host. He considers the midfielder was already in an offside position.
