Maria Bartomeu condemns bad allegations of himself and Barcelona
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Maria Bartomeu, President of Barcelona, condemned the bad accusations against him and Barcelona. He will take firm action against those who had spread all accusations directed towards him and Barcelona.
Previously, Cadena SER issued a report stating that Barcelona are in cooperation with a company called I3 Ventures with the aim of cleaning Bartomeu’s name on social media from a bad image.
Unfortunately, Barcelona is also considered to have let the company issue a black campaign to a number of important figures such as Gerard Pique, Lionel Messi, Pep Guardiola, Xavi, Joan Laporta, and Carles Puyol.
Hearing this news, Josep Maria Bartomeu did not remain silent. He tried to clear up the situation by issuing a statement.
“First, I need to say that Barcelona did not hire any service to discredit anyone. Be it players, executive officers or former presidents. That is a real lie,” Bartomeu said, Marca reported.
“Therefore, we will defend ourselves related to the news, against anyone who accuses us of doing so. I repeat, it is untrue that Barcelona have done anything such as hiring parties to demean others,” he added.
Bartomeu added, Barcelona had indeed worked with an account called Respeto y Deporte. However, the collaboration was over.
“In 2017, it is true that Barcelona worked by monitoring several areas on the club’s social media like many other clubs do,” explained the president.
“After confirming about one of the affiliated accounts with companies that had commented, I personally requested to terminate the contract.”
