Matthijs de Ligt Becomes Juventus 7th Recruitment

DBasia.news – Ajax Amsterdam defender Matthijs de Ligt arrived in Turin and conducted a medical test with Juventus. De Ligt became the club’s newest recruit.
Using a private jet, wearing jeans and long sleeves, De Ligt arrived in Turin to carry out medical tests. Reported by BBC Sport, Juventus agreed to redeem De Ligt for £ 67.5 million.

Notch eight goals from 77 matches also recorded Ajax academy products for the first team. De Ligt was at Ajax at the age of nine and became the youngest club captain in March 2018. In addition, De Ligt also had 17 caps and two goals with the Dutch national team.
De Ligt also met with Juventus in the Champions League quarter-finals last season. De Ligt scored a decisive goal for Ajax’s victory which led the team to the semifinals. In addition, he also met Cristiano Ronaldo in the UEFA Nations League final.
On that occasion, CR7 invited De Ligt to join Juventus. De Ligt admitted immediately the contents of his brief chat with Ronaldo after the match ended between Portugal against the Netherlands.
“Ronaldo asked me to come to Juventus. I was a little surprised by the request, that’s why I laughed. At first, I didn’t understand,” De Ligt told NOS at that time.
De Ligt became the seventh brand-new recruit made by Juventus in the transfer market this summer. Before recruiting De Ligt, Juventus had managed to recruit: Aaron Ramsey, Adrien Rabiot, Gianluigi Buffon, Luca Pellegrini, Merih Demiral, and Cristian Romero.
