Mauricio Pochettino Fired, Dele Alli Disappointed
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Dele Alli revealed that he really lost the figure of Maurucio Pochettino who had just been fired from Tottenham Hotspur last week. He felt devastated as for him Pochettino was a manager who was meritorious.
Dele Alli does have a debt of gratitude to Mauricio Pochettino. Thanks to the confidence of the former Southampton manager, he stuck out to become the mainstay of Tottenham Hotspur and England national team. That’s what made him devastated when the manager was dismissed.
“When that happened, I could only blame myself. I was sad and did not see the bigger picture. We have taken several extraordinary trips together. All of us, the players and coaching staff, have grown together, “explained Dele Alli as quoted by The Telegraph.
The 23-year-old added, “We have achieved a lot in terms of where we came from. We thank them. I could not do anything, just felt rather guilty. I gave 110 percent, but sometimes it doesn’t work. “
Although not being together under the banner of Tottenham Hotspur, Dele Alli promised not to forget Mauricio Pochettino. He made sure to keep in contact with the figure.
“In the past five years, I have met him more often than with my own family. So, it is hard for me. “Of course, he is someone I will continue to contact,” added the sharp attacking midfielder.
Furthermore, Dele
Alli stated, “It will be different as he is no longer my manager, but he
is an extraordinary person and has been helpful to me throughout my career, not
just a matter of football, but a matter of life as well.”
