Montreal Impact is a New Start for Thierry Henry
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Former Arsenal striker, Thierry Henry could not give up returning to head coach. After failing to meet AS Monaco’s expectations, Henry accepted the Montreal Impact offer to replace Wilmer Cabrera to coach the Major League Soccer (MLS) club.
According to the Frenchman, his bad experience at AS Monaco actually made him better. “You have to start somewhere. That’s the way you get experience,” Henry said as quoted by the Daily Mail, Tuesday (11/18/2019).
“In Monaco, I really did not succeed. I can give you many reasons. Still, it didn’t work. But at the moment I am a Montreal coach,” he added.
Henry said, that at this time he only focused on training Montreal and considered mistakes at Monaco not as an obstacle.
“I learned a lot there. The only mistake you can do is not learn from it, “he added.
After retiring from football, Henry was an assistant coach in Belgium at the 2018 World Cup. He was appointed as AS Monaco coach in October 2018. Unfortunately, he only lasted a few months with a record of 4 wins, 5 draws and 11 losses.
