Morgan De Sanctis: Roma Will Not Release Young Academy Players
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Former AS Roma goalkeeper, Morgan De Sanctis, has denied rumors of the departure of young players from the team’s academy products this summer.
De Sanctis was appointed club representative to introduce Nikola Kalinic to the media on Thursday, when the Croatian striker held his first press conference since joining the Giallorossi at the transfer deadline.
During the press conference, De Sanctis was also asked about rumors that the players from the academy were considered for sale in the summer – specifically Primavera squad midfielder, Alessio Riccardi.
“We never thought to let Riccardi go, the same applies to [Zan] Celar, [Devid] Bouah and [Riccardo] Calafiori,” De Sanctis said. “Never.”
He added: “If the club has very potential young players in the academy system, then we will try to work with them to find the right way to improve and develop as much as they can.
