Mourinho Regrets his team Wasted many Opportunities

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Tottenham Hotspur manager, Jose Mourinho, regrets the failure of his team to maximize the opportunity to Norwich City’s goal, which made them settle for a 2-2 draw against the standings in the 20th week of the Premier League at Carrow Road.

“We are trying to win, they (Norwich) are trying to achieve a draw and the results were a draw, we are frustrated as we created so many opportunities, and conceded so easily,” Mourinho said.

In the match, Norwich took the lead through Mario Vrancic in the first half. Tottenham  was only able to equalize at the start of the second half through Christian’s free kick from Christian Eriksen, then returned to concede due to Serge Aurier’s own goal.

Luckily Harry Kane successfully executed a penalty in the final phase of the match to secure a draw for Tottenham.

“Teams with normal souls will die at that moment, but that didn’t happen to us. We continued to play, in my opinion we played even better, more excited, more intense,” added the man from Portugal.

Regret also came from Ryan Sessegnon who wasted an opportunity.

“This is disappointing. This is an opportunity for us to achieve three points and go further up in the table. This is a wasted opportunity,” said the 19-year old player.
