DBasia.news – Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku is declining in terms of scoring the goal. He hasn’t scored any goal in 8 matches. This situation made United manager Jose Mourinho worried.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho admitted that he is concerned with Romelu Lukaku goal-drought after the 0-1 defeat against Juventus in the Champions League.
Lukaku and Man United performed weakly in the match at Old Trafford. This added the goal-drought of the Belgium player to 8 matches.
The 25-year-old player has scored 4 goals this season for the Premier League.
“Yes,” Mourinho answered when asked about the goalless Lukaku.
“No critics at all. An understanding that he’s a professional who wants to perform but the moment is not sweet,” he said.
“Not just with the goals he is not scoring but in his confidence, movement, touch, he is not linking the game well with the team,” he said.
However, Mourinho admitted that he still trust him.
“But he’s our striker and he’s a good striker and a striker we believe in,” he said.
“He is a hard-working guy, one day the goal will arrive and the confidence will be back,” Mourinho said.
