Kalidou Koulibaly
DBasia.news – Manchester United are still looking for the center-back in the transfer market. The 103 million euro transfer fee has been submitted to Kalidou Koulibaly but Napoli refused it.
Essentially, Manchester United have been looking for the new center-back since the previous summer transfer market. The Red Devils sent the offer in last minute to sign Atletico Madrid back, Diego Godin. But, the Uruguay national team player refused.
Previously, Manchester United also failed in finding the new center-back. Leicester City won’t let go their prominent defender, Harry Maguire, to Old Trafford.
Manchester United once again failed after the 103 million euro or Rp1,6 trillion transfer fee couldn’t change Napoli’s mind. Corriere dello Sport stated Il Partenopei President Aurelio De Laurentiis refused some offers from The Red Devils.
Jose Mourinho
The news makes Jose Mourinho upset. The Portuguese manager asked the management to sign his requested player if they want to compete with other clubs.
“You have no chance in the market unless you go to crazy numbers. Instead, you go to the second level players where you still have crazy numbers,” Mourinho said.
“And where people say, and I agree, that’s not what Manchester United is.”
Besides Kalidou Koulibaly, Manchester United are also eyeing Tottenham Hotspur center-back, Toby Alderweirld. Moreover, Jose Mourinho witnessed his performance in the duel between Belgium against Iceland.
