Nicolas Anelka Hopes PSG does not Release Edinson Cavani

By db-admin

DBasia.news – The future of Edinson Cavani with Paris Saint-Germain is still uncertain. Reportedly the Uruguayan striker will be released in the upcoming transfer market.

Cavani’s contract with PSG will expire in June 2020. The club nicknamed Les Parisiens shows no signs of increasing his duration.

It was not separated from the fact that currently PSG already has Mauro Icardi. The player who was finally made permanent from Inter Milan.

Former French national team player, Nicolas Anelka believes PSG’s decision to release Cavani was a mistake as he is a good quality player.

“Letting Cavani go was a big mistake. He is the number nine player who is never seen again,” Anelka said as quoted by Marca.

“He scored a lot of goals and is still useful. He is a super striker and you made a risk by releasing him to competitors, because he might be taken by top clubs,” he added.

Cavani is often rumored to be the target of Inter Milan. The Italian team has offered him a contract for three years.
