Niko Kovac Never had Resentment with Bayern Munich
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Former Bayern Munich manager, Niko Kovac, claimed not to have a grudge against his former team. The manager who came from Croatia actually felt grateful that he had been given the opportunity to train Der FCB.
Kovac was dismissed by Bayern in November 2019. Kovac was fired because it was considered a failure to bring Thomas Mueller cs perform optimally and had experienced conflicts with several senior players in the dressing room.
“I have a very positive attitude to the experience of training at Bayern,” Niko Kovac said as quoted by the International Goal page.
“At Bayern, I managed to become a better coach and I’m grateful to have been given the opportunity. Bayern has indeed become a dream team for many coaches in Germany. However, not all of them get a chance, “continued Kovac.
In his first season, Kovac succeeded in bringing Die Roten to win the German League and DFB Pokal titles. However, he failed to bring Bayern to the maximum in the Champions League after being defeated by Liverpool in the last 16.
As a replacement for Kovac, Die Roten’s management appointed a former assistant to the German national team coach, Hansi Flick. The 55-year-old will serve as a caretaker at the Allianz Arena until the end of the upcoming 2019-20 season.
Together with Flick, Die Roten successfully showed improved performance. Currently, Robert Lewandowski cs has successfully topped the German League standings with 49 points from 23 parties. One point ahead of RB Leipzig who stalked in second place standings.
