DBasia.news – Bayern Munich defender, Jerome Boateng, received a sanction from the club for leaving his house during the lockdown period. The sanction was obtained after Boateng went to Berlin to visit his ill child.
The problem is, Boateng did not ask permission in advance from Munich management. Even though the players had been warned beforehand not to leave his house.
Th rules must also be enforced by Munchen management. They sentenced a fine even though no amount was mention.
“FC Bayern follows the advice of the local government and health authorities to limit movement, as we believe that this club has the responsibility to be a good role model for everyone,” the club’s official statement reads.
“As a result of this violation, Boateng was sentenced to a fine. This fine money will later be donated to a number of hospitals in Munich City.”
Boateng admitted his carelessness. The 31-year-old player admitted that he paniced after hearing his child was ill.
“I don’t think any father will do what I do for their child. I respect the club’s decision,” Boateng told Bild.
