DBasia.news – The Spanish 25-year-old bomber, Paco Alcacer really enjoys his new journey with Borussia Dortmund in Germany. He found the excitement that he never found in FC Barcelona.
Six goals from three Bundesliga matches with Dortmund was an impressive record for a player who just came from abroad and adapting. Alcacer executed it really well.
Alcacer left to Dortmund due to the lack of playing minute in Barcelona with the loan option and permanent option for 30 million euro. Thanks to his performance, the former Valencia player was called up by Luis Enrique to Spain national time in this international break.
The striker who was born in Torrent, August 30, 1993, was very happy decided to leave to Dortmund after the two recent seasons he just benched in Barcelona. Despite his name listed in the squad achieved the two Copa del Rey and one LaLiga, Alcacer wasn’t happy due to the lack of playing minute.
I decided to look for minutes away from Barcelona,” he admitted in his international press conference with La Roja.
“In the end, it all comes down to making decisions. Being at Barcelona for years, not having a leading role, not everything going as I had wanted. I decided to look for minutes elsewhere,” Alcacer said.
“A player with confidence is better than one without confidence. I left in order to feel happy playing. The decisions I was able to make, I made. At Barca, with Luis Suarez, [Lionel] Messi, [Ousmane] Dembele… it’s tough to play,” he explained.
Lastly, Alcacer also told his gratitude to the teammates that made it easier for him to adapt in Dortmund.
“All my team-mates have helped me a lot since the first day,” he said. “I had difficulty with the language and with the change. They’ve made it really easy for me and I’ve adapted well,” Alcacer concluded.
