Patrick Kluivert Becomes Director of the La Masia Academy

DBasia.news – The legend returns to Camp Nou. Yes, he was a former Barcelona striker in mid-1998-2004, Patrick Kluivert. He came to fill the position of Director of the La Masia Academy.
Barcelona tie Kluivert with a two-year contract. At La Masia, the father of the AS Roma attacker, Justin Kluivert, will be responsible for overseeing all the activities of the renowned Barcelona academy.
“I am very happy to be back and can’t wait to welcome a new era with the challenge of maintaining Barca among the world’s big clubs,” Kluivert said on Barca’s official website.
“I grew up in the Ajax academy, which is similar to La Masia. I think I can do much to form a young Barca player.”
Kluivert returned to Barcelona after being fired a week ago from the position of assistant coach of the Cameroon national team. Kluivert, 43, was sacked with head coach Clarence Seedorf after failing to bring Cameroon to defend the Africa Cup of Nations championship title.
When becoming a player, Kluivert became Barcelona’s mainstay striker. For six seasons at Barca, Kluivert collected 123 goals from 259 appearances in all competitions.
