Pep Guardiola’s Message to Liverpool Supporters

DBasia.news – Manchester City will visit Anfield Stadium to challenge the host in the Premier League match, Sunday (7/10).

Manchester City will fix their record who just gained one victory from six recent matches against Liverpool. Last season, The Reds humiliated Man City three times in the Premier League and Champions League.

There was an issue before the match, the alternative route for the bus of Man City team to avoid the Liverpool fans’ crowd. Man City have talked with Merseyside Police to do it.

Man City tried hard to prevent the incident last April when Man City met Liverpool in the quarter-final of Champions League. Man City’s bus also thrown with things like fireworks and smokeball from Liverpool fans around Bar Arkles. The bus’ window was broken.

Pep Guardiola also talked about this during the press conference ahead of the match. He asked the police to work hard in securing Man City’s bus and told Liverpool fans to be wiser and avoid the throwing incident like last season.

“The best way is that we should not need the police. Why should the police need to be there? For what? We arrive there, both sides, to play a Premier League game. Why should our fans have to protect our bus? Are you kidding me?” Guardiola asked reported by Guardian.

“I would like the police to go home at 4.30 with their families, drinking a beer and loving the show, that is what they should do. But that depends on the Liverpool people, not on Manchester City.”

“The best way to protect the bus is down to the Liverpool fans who are there. The best way is that when the people arrive at the stadium (they are) going to see the football game and enjoy watching both sides,” Guardiola said.

The match will be the last Europe top leagues this weekend before the international break next week.
