DBasia.news – Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has been confused with the absence of Aymeric Laporte in the back line due to injury.
Manchester City received bad news after Aymeric Laporte suffered a long injury. Based on media reports, Laporte will be absent until early 2020.
Now, the available center backs are John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi. John Stones’ condition is also not optimal because of an injury at the beginning of this season.
The situation has made Pep Guardiola look for players who can be placed as central defenders. The choice fell to Fernandinho or Rodri.
Fernandinho is on the highest list for having played a similar role at the end of last season. The Brazilian player has a pretty good defense even though his original position is midfielder.
Pep Guardiola has also asked Manchester City managers to look for a new center back in the 2020 winter transfer window. Reportedly, The Citizens are targeting Inter Milan defender, Milan Skriniar.
