Persija’s Contender in League Champions Asia Defeated by Johor Darul

DBasia.news – The Protectors, nickname for Home United, must swallow the bitter fact after the 0-5 defeat against Malaysian club Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) in the friendly match at Tan Sri Dato Haji Hassan Yunos Stadium Johor.

Home United got conceded since the match just went 8 minutes. Gonzalo Cabrera netted the goal to the runner-up of 2018 Singapore Premier League.

Home United got conceded once again by Aaron Niguez at 13′. They got left behind 0-3 in the first half after the goal by Hariss Harun at 45′.

Two goals happened in the second half, by Hazwan Bakri (51′) and Safawi Rasid (88′).

The friendly match is a part of the preparation for next season, including the qualification of League Champions Asia against Persija Jakarta at Jalan Besar Stadium, Singapore, February 5th, 2019.

The Protectors have been preparing since December 2018. Previously, they had the match against Singapore Cricket Club on January 8th and won 5-0.

Meanwhile, Persija Jakarta just prepared since January 7th. Persija also screened the squad.

Persija Jakarta squad aren’t completed yet. Some names haven’t come, including the new coach Ivan Kolev.

Persija Jakarta would have the charity match at Lampung on January 13th before playing against 757 Kepri Jaya in the Indonesian Cup. Persija would have the friendly match against Singapore national team on January 26th before Home United.
