Playing in El Clasico Is a Dream for Miralem Pjanic

DBasia.news – Miralem Pjanic will undergo the first El Clasico in his career. He admitted that appearing in the Barcelona vs Real Madrid match was a dream come true.

Pjanic was included in the list of Barcelona players brought in for the big match against Real Madrid at Camp Nou, Saturday (24/10/2020), in the seventh week of the Spanish League. If the Bosnia & Herzegovina midfielder is played, this will be his first match in an El Clasico duel.

Pjanic has just brought Barcelona to Camp Nou this summer. He was signed off from Juventus as part of an exchange deal with Arthur Melo.

Looking at the Barcelona vs Real Madrid duel, Miralem Pjanic admitted that he was enthusiastic about being able to play in that match later. In the view of the 30-year-old player, El Clasico is the biggest match in world football.

Pjanic even often watched the duel between the two biggest teams in Spain for a long time. He still remembers watching El Clasico match from the television screen, especially when Los Cules under Pep Guardiola was able to beat Madrid by a landslide score.

“Having the opportunity to play in El Clasico is something I dream of, it is the biggest match in football. I am very happy to be able to appear and hope to win it,” said Pjanic, quoted by Mundo Deportivo.

“I always watch it on television and it puts on a great show. I remember 5-0 at home, in 2011, Guardiola against Mourinho. It’s great to see Barca play … also 2-6 at the Bernabeu is something special, because it is an away game. It was never easy,” Pjanic added.

“I have never played in El Clasico, but I think this is the biggest game for the players. I have played in the Roma-Lazio match, which in Rome is amazing and the competition is very big, as well as the Italian Derby between Juve-Inter.”

“I have experienced derbies and other great matches, therefore I am waiting to be able to play in El Clasico. I am very curious and most importantly, we hope to win it,” said Miralem Pjanic ahead of El Clasico between Barcelona vs Real Madrid.
