Predicting the Successor of Marc-Andre ter Stegen in Barcelona

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Barcelona goalkeeper, Marc-Andre ter Stegen ,reportedly refused to extend his tenure with Barcelona. The Blaugrana will reportedly sell the keeper next summer.

Ter Stegen’s contract will actually expire in 2022. But because the German goalkeeper refused to extend his contract due to low salary, Barca are likely to sell him this summer so his value remains high in the transfer market.

But who will replace him? According to reports from Marca, there are five goalkeepers who can replace him.

The first is Atletico goalkeeper, Jan Oblak. The Slovenian goalkeeper is the dream of the majority of Barca fans. His impressive performance with Los Rojiblancos has made the Blaugrana eager to bring himin. Oblak has a release clause of 120 million euros on his contract.

Then there is Manchester United goalkeeper, David de Gea. Easier option than Oblak. With Dean Henderson shining during his loan spell at Sheffield United, it seems that the Red Devils would not object if David de Gea was sold to Barca at the right price.

Another goalkeeper is Kepa Arrizabalaga. Kepa is the cheapest and easiest option of all. Although his performance has lately been highlighted, but seeing his performance with Bilbao in La Liga before he moved to Chelsea was one of Barca’s considerations.

Gianluigi Donnarumma also entered as Barca’s target. With only being 21 years old and has become AC Milan’s main goalkeeper from the age of 16, making him rich in experience and still developing. Especially the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, seems to have wanted to get his client out of Milan.

The last goalkeeper coveted by Barca was Bayern Munich goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer. Although 34 years old, Neuer’s ability to play with his feet is perfect for Barcelona’s playing style. Neuer’c ocntract will expire next year and there are no signs of him extending his contract.
