Providing the Premier League Title to Liverpool, Allison says that this Season is exhausting

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Liverpool showed brilliant performances throughout the 2019-2020 season which produced the inaugural Premier League trophy in the last 30 years. It turned out to have had a bad effect on the physical condition of the Reds squad.

Liverpool’s top goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, felt overwhelming exhaustion. He considered that this rarely happens throughout his football career.

But that seems understandable. Liverpool did step on the pedal right from the start of the season to leave their rivals.

“This is one of the most exhausting seasons I have ever experienced. I don’t know if this is due to the pandemic which makes the competition go longer,” Alisson told ESPN Brazil.

“Though this has also been one of the seasons where I have played less because of injury.”

As is known, Liverpool locked the Premier League trophy when the competition was seven weeks remaining. It was the club’s fastest record of securing the title in the highest caste competition in England.

Jurgen Klopp’s team are also undefeated from 27 early matches with a record of 26 wins and one draw. Liverpool’s new performance has slackened after certainty to win the title.

“We left the Champions League early, but I think this fatigue comes from giving everything we have every time. Klopp has a big part of it and only tells us what his main goal is,” he added.

“We also care about how we will achieve that goal. He trusts us to do what he wants, not only at training sessions, but also on a daily basis.”

Alisson’s statement shows there is nothing instant about Liverpool’s success. The exhaustion he and other Liverpool players have felt are certainly commensurate with the achievements they have achieved in the last two seasons.
