DBasia.news – PSSI has released the competition termination until further notice. Even though there would be no upcoming match, PSIS Semarang set the focus in preparing the team.
The decision was taken since BOPI asked PSSI to stop the competition for a week. The period will be used to decide the sanction and find the right way to prevent further incident.
Meanwhile, Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs Imam Nahrawi asked the competition to be suspended for two weeks. One of the reasons is to give the respect for the victim and family. Imam Nahrawi also requested PSSI to decide clearly.
PSIS coach Jafri Sastra said the squad will keep on training ahead of the match against Persela Lamongan on the 24th-week of 2018 Liga 1. As scheduled, both teams should have a match on Saturday (30/9) at Suralaya Stadium Lamongan.
“We will set the focus in preparing the team for the upcoming match against Persela Lamongan,” Jafri Sastra said.
Jafri admits the termination of competition also gives an impact for his squad. “We don’t know when the competition will continue and this is affecting the team.”
“Perhaps we will reschedule the training program while waiting for the new schedule,” Jafri Sastra concluded.
