By db-admin
DBasia.news – In the ninth match of the English Premier League at Old Trafford stadium on Sunday (20/10), Manchester United player Marcus Rashford managed to score one goal that made a 1-1 draw against Liverpool. He also said the secret that made him break through the Reds goal.
Rashford also praised the appearance of his colleague Daniel James and said that eye contact with him was the key to creating goals for Manchester United.
“We made a little eye contact beforehand and it was a good opportunity for us to work together,” Rashford said in a full-time commentary with MUTV.
“Maybe without making eye contact with each other and getting connected, we won’t create a goal.”
In the match, Manchester United became the beneficiary after two decisions by referee Martin Atkinson who assisted the VAR gave the Red Devils a 1-0 lead in the first half through Marcus Rashford’s shot in the 36th minute.
With his goal kick, Rashford should be proud and say, “We have failed to score many goals lately. So yes, the goal was satisfying, but of course, we want to make more goals.”
Manchester United’s manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also praised the appearance of his foster children.
“Not only when creating goals, but he also played well throughout the game this time. I think this is one of his best games for us. He showed his strength when he had to collide with Van Dijk. He was really strong,” said Solskjaer.
“The players look fantastic, are aggressive and put pressure on the attack when they have the chance.”
Even though it only produced a balanced score, he revealed that the result was a positive step to increase the confidence of the players and the team.
“Of course this result is very important because that is what makes the players more confident. Being able to win will be very good but even a draw is a good step. Two weeks ago when dealing with Newcastle was our worst moment of the season … The players have recovered from injury and ready to perform even better. I feel happy.”
The draw makes Manchester United now collect 10 points and is ranked 13th, while Liverpool is still solid at the top of the standings with 25 points.
