Real Madrid Has No Spur Without Cristiano Ronaldo

DBasia.news –  Without Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid is no longer respected or feared by their opponents. This opinion was expressed by Fabio Capello, the Italian coach.

Ronaldo, 34, left the club he had been defending for nine years leading to Juventus. Admittedly or not, Madrid lost its Portuguese superstar and was eventually eliminated from the Copa del Rey and Champions League, and it was challenging to compete in La Liga.

Capello, who had coached Madrid in the mid-1996-97 and 2006-07, analyzed the loss of fear from opposing teams each time they faced Madrid who no longer had Ronaldo.

“I always say that Real Madrid and Barcelona started the match with a 1-0 win and if you want to beat them, you have to score at least two goals,” said Capello giving an analogy, the Goal reported.

“This season Madrid is less than 1-0, and started with 0-0 like the other teams and that’s why they face so many difficulties.”

“Now we have all seen what happened at Juventus with Cristiano in it, the opposing defenders were previously very scared and now they (against Madrid) are not afraid,” said the 72-year-old coach.

Evidence of Madrid’s difficulties also forced Florentino Perez, President of Madrid, to recall Zinedine Zidane to coach the club. Zidane became Madrid’s third coach this season after previously being coached by Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari.
