DBasia.news – Real Madrid are still looking for a long-term solution. Their regeneration continues after signing Brahim Diaz from Manchester City. This time, AS reported Los Blancos are targeting Eintracht Frankfurt striker, Luka Jovic.
In his 21, the Serbian player is trending in Germany due to his impressive performance with Frankfurt. Jovic has scored 18 goals of 25 caps in all competitions.
Jovic has all the talents needed to be successful in Europe: could play in many positions, actively looking for space, and execute the chance perfectly. It’s ideal to replace Karim Benzema.
The French striker won’t retire soon. But, Madrid tried to anticipate it by targeting Jovic as the rival of Mariano Diaz and Vinicius Junior in the front line.
But, it won’t be easy for Madrid in signing him. Jovic still has the contract with Benfica and Frankfurt and might activate the permanent option worth 6-12 million euro. It means Madrid must wait for Jovic’s status in Frankfurt.
Los Blancos won’t sign him in this winter transfer market. They will try next summer.
Jovic is the long-term option because both strikers associated with Madrid, Robert Lewandowski and Edinson Cavani are getting older. Madrid squad would be younger next season by the arrival of Rodrigo, the 18-year-old player from Santos.
