Real Madrid would shift to Haaland if they fail to sign Mbappe

DBasia.news – Real Madrid are reportedly still looking for a new striker before the close of the 2021 summer transfer market. If they fail to sign Kylian Mbappe, Madrid will switch to Erling Haaland.

Real Madrid has not made any significant movement in the transfer market. El Real are busy releasing unused players. Recently, Madrid is rumored to be willing to give up Martin Odegaard to Arsenal.

However, Madrid will still be involved in the transfer market. With limited time, Madrid are racing against time to bring in a new striker.

Real Madrid is rumored to have funds of 200 million to get used to purchasing players. Some of them were allocated to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Madrid is aware that negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain will not be easy. PSG have absolutely no interest in letting Mbappe go this summer. In fact, PSG wants to extend the striker’s contract. Madrid is ready to disburse 160 million euros.

If they fail to sign Mbappe, Madrid will immediately pursue Erling Haaland who was brilliant with Borussia Dortmund. For this one attacker, the owner is easier to tackle.

Previously, Madrid representatives, Jose Angel Sanchez and Juni Calafat, had met Haaland’s father, Alf-Inge Haaland, and his agent, Mino Raiola. The meeting provided information that Madrid had the ability to purchase Haaland, while Barcelona did not.

According to the circulating news, Dortmund are reluctant to sell Haaland this season. However, the offer of 100 million euros is believed to be enough to make Dortmund change their minds.

Moreover, Dortmund would most likely only receive 75 million euros if they sold Haaland in the summer of 2022. Because at that time the striker’s 75 million euro release clause was active.
