Real Sociedad Got a Fortune From the Transfer of Antoine Griezmann

DBasia.news –  Real Sociedad felt the blessing of the transfer saga from Frenchman Antoine Griezmann. The player gets big funds from Griezmann’s sale to Barcelona.

As is known, Griezmann was bought by Barcelona from Atletico Madrid by redeeming the purchase clause of 120 million euros. The 28-year-old French striker will sign a five-year contract with the Blaugrana.

The price of the purchase could even increase to 200 million euros because Atletico still objected to the funds provided by Barcelona. Atletico believes Barca have agreed with Griezmann long before July 1, 2019, the date when the Griezmann purchase clause dropped from 200 to 120 million euros.

Whatever the sale price of Griezmann, Sociedad will be the third party to benefit, because they will get funding from the sale of the Sociedad academy products. Because in 2014, when Sociedad sold Griezmann to Atletico, Sociedad gave a resale clause.

As reported by the AS, Sociedad will get 20 percent of Griezmann’s sales if Atletico sell him. Griezmann left Sociedad in 2014 with a tag of 32 million euros – his purchase clause at the time.

So, from 120 million euros of Griezmann’s sales to Barcelona, Sociedad will get 24 million euros or approximately Rp. 378 billion. The fund could increase to 40 million euros if Atletico won a lawsuit against Barca for 200 million euros.

40 million euros or Rp. 631 billion. With these funds, Imanol Alguacil’s Sociedad can bring in at least two-three quality players ahead of the 2019-20 season.
