DBasia.news – Bayern Munchen midfielder, Renato Sanches, has officially left the club and joined Ligue 1, Lille.
Purchased at a price of 35 million euros from Benfica three years ago, Bayern decided to sell Sanches for only 20 million euros. He himself will be bound by a contract until 2023 with Christophe Galtier’s squad, and will use the number 18.
The lack of playing time is the reason Bayern finally released Sanches permanently. Since his arrival at the Allianz Arena, he has always been unable to compete in the midfield filled by Thiago Alcantara, Leon Goretzka, Javi Martinez, and now, Corentin Tolisso, who has recovered from injury. He also had a less successful loan time with Swansea City in the Premier League.
During his career with Bayern, Sanches appeared in 53 matches in all competitions, with two goals and three assists. At Stade Pierre-Mauroy, the winner of the 2016 Euro title with Portugal is expected to be a replacement for Thiago Mendes, who decided to move to Olympique Lyon.
