Rivaldo Ever Wanted Emile Heskey to Strengthen the Brazilian National Team

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Recognition has emerged from Brazilian legend, Rivaldo, who wants to see Emile Heskey strengthen the Brazilian national team in the past.

Throughout his career, Heskey scored 152 goals from 720 matches at the club level. One graph of his triumph was when he was with Liverpool from 2000 to 2004. As for the national team, he only packed seven goals from 57 matches.

Rivaldo never faced directly with Heskey in the quarterfinals of the 2002 World Cup. At that time, England was knocked out by Ronaldinho’s free-kick. Brazil also continued to pitch to the final until finally becoming the fifth champion.

“At that time, we only met in the quarter-finals of the World Cup. Rivaldo answers the question about who the English player is worth playing for Brazil, and he chose me. I’m fine with that. This feels ridiculous even though it feels appropriate,” he said as quoted by the Sport Bible.

“I feel I can play in all positions for the team. Looks like that’s what he saw from me. I also fought him when Liverpool met Barcelona in the Champions League. “We held them at Camp Nou, and won at Anfield,” he said again.

Heskey retired at Bolton in July 2016. He had a career in the Australian League with Newcastle Jets. He first announced his retirement from the national team in 2010, after failing to enter the national team for the World Cup that year.
