Robert Moreno Doesn’t Mind Luis Enrique Retrains the Spanish National Team

DBasia.news –  Former Barcelona coach, Luis Enrique, is still plagued by deep sorrow because his nine-year-old daughter, Xana, died of bone cancer.

Previously Luis Enrique had resigned his position as coach of the Spanish national team in June 2019 and was replaced by his assistant, Robert Moreno. The position of the main coach will be filled by Moreno until the end of Euro 2020.

Despite being in a relatively safe condition, Moreno expressed his readiness to step down from his position if Luis Enrique had the desire to return to being La Furia Roja’s main coach. Moreno also wants to give Enrique a happy moment in a difficult week for the former Barcelona top coach.

“If Luis Enrique wants to be the main coach again in the future, then I will resign from this position. This week has been difficult for everyone involved. We will try to give a little pleasure in all the difficulties he experienced. This is the only thing we can do at this time,” Robert Moreno said in an interview quoted by Football Espana.

Moreno already has experience being Enrique’s assistant at Celta Vigo, AS Roma and Barcelona. The 41-year-old coach is also claimed to have good relations with the players in the current Spanish squad.
