Roma Ready to Bring in Verona Right-Back Next Season
By db-admin
DBasia.news – AS Roma are reportedly already planning their future and are ready to bring in Hellas Verona defender, Marco Davide Faraoni.
Marco Faraoni’s impressive performance this season has made Rome want to sign him in the transfer market next summer.
According to Calciomercato, AS Roma’s Sports Director, Gianluca Petrachi, had tried to bring him in last January. However, Hellas Verona turned down the capital club’s offer.
Calciomercato claims that Roma will try again to bid on the former Inter academy player. The deal can happen at 5 million euros.
Marco Faraoni has recorded 24 appearances in Serie A this season. He also gave 3 goals and 3 assists for Verona. This is believed to be one factor that has made AS Roma interested in bringing him in.
Marco Faraoni’s performance this season has made Hellas Verona sit in 9th position of the Serie A standings on the 25th giornata. An extraordinary achievement considering Hellas Verona has the status of the promotion team this season.
Not only that, Verona is also the fourth team with the best defense in Serie A. With only 24 goals conceded in 35 matches. That amount is equaled to Juve’s record and only losing to Inter and Lazio. In this respect, they are better than Rome.
Roma also really needs a right-back given the unimpressive performance of Davide Santon and Bruno Peres. Even AS Roma captain, Alessandro Florenzi, was loaned to Valencia until the end of the season.
