Roma vs Inter Ends Draw, Conte Complains Match Schedule

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Inter Milan must settle for a draw with score of 2-2 when they traveled to AS Roma’s headquarters in the 34th Italian League 2019-2020. Inter coach Antonio Conte also highlighted the tight schedule of matches his team has.

Like other leagues, Serie A also tighten the competition schedule after a long suspension. Moreover, Serie A has fewer matches than other leagues.

However, Conte felt the schedule was made unfair. Inter Milan have less rest time than other teams.

“We have to get used to facing pressure on big matches. That is something missing from Inter Milan in recent years. We have to work on it and improve mentality,” Conte said as reported by Italian Football.

“I want people to look at the match schedule for Inter Milan. The reason is we have a crazy schedule and made us have problems.”

“We always play at late night. The teams we face always have extra rest days than us. This is a fact,” the coach added.

Antonio Conte gave an example, Inter often played late in the night on away matches. The Nerazzurri had only just finished the match at 4 am.

“Everyone has to make a compromise, but it is always Inter who end up with difficulties, always, funny too. If someone has to slap, it’s always Inter Milan,” Conte said.

“Therefore, I do not want to create controversy or find excuses. We play every morning, play late at night, and go home at 4 am. However, we secure second place and almost five points from Juventus.”

Inter Milan played 2-2 when they visited AS Roma in the 2019-2020 Serie A match at the Stadio Olimpico on Monday (7/20). That result was enough for Inter to seal the Champions League ticket.
