Ronaldo Isn’t Listed As Ballon d’Or Top Three

DBasia.news – The world’s best player achievement, 2018 Ballon d’Or, would be conducted on December 3rd in Paris, France. But, some Italian media claimed Cristiano Ronaldo won’t be on the podium due to the defeat.

Besides Ronaldo, Lionel Messi is also rumored not listed as the top three.

Italian media mentioned for this edition, the top three are Kylian Mbappe, Raphael Varane, and Luka Modric.

Varane is included due to his impressive performance last season. He brought Real Madrid preserved the Champions League before delivering the France national team during the 2018 World Cup.

If he wins, Varane will be the first defender who wins the Ballon d’Or since Fabio Cannavaro in 2006.

Throughout his career, Ronaldo has achieved five Ballon d’Or titles. In the recent decade, the 33-year-old striker was competing with Messi who also achieved a similar titles.
