DBasia.news – Cristiano Ronaldo has the ambition to be the world’s best player since supporting The Red Devils. Sir Alex Ferguson’s former assistant in Manchester United, Mike Phelan, revealed that.
Phelan believed that Ronaldo really knows what to do to be a star player.
Cristiano Ronaldo was the new player of Manchester United in summer 2003. At that period, the 33-year-old player was speculated to replace David Beckham.
In the beginning, no one expected that Ronaldo would be great in Manchester United. But now, the Portuguese player is one of the most successful players of all time.

“His demands were great – he wanted to be the world’s best,” Phelan said of Ronaldo during Ferguson’s time in charge, quoted by Express.
“He understood that being at United gave him the profile he needed, the theatre to perform and to produce the football we all knew he could,” he continued.
“He trained hard, played hard. His desire was as good as anything I’ve come across,” Phelan said.
Ronaldo is still remembering Manchester United deep in his soul. During his critic from Real Madrid’s supporters, he didn’t feel reluctant to compare it with Man United.
“I spent a lot of years at Manchester United and it never happened to me. Not even once,” Ronaldo said.
