Ronaldo Tries to Soothe Higuain

DBasia.news – Gonzalo Higuain made the trouble when AC Milan defeated 0-2 against Juventus at San Siro. After wasting some opportunities, including failing to execute the penalty, he was eliminated by the referee.
After receiving the red card, Higuain got frustrated. Initially, Higuain just punished with a yellow card due to his foul to Medhi Benatia. But, he protested exaggeratively and the referee gave him the second yellow card and kicked him from the pitch.
When that happened, Higuain was losing his control and got angry hence the players of both teams tried to calm him down, including Juventus players like Ronaldo, Giorgio Chiellini, and Blaise Matuidi. Higuain left the pitch crying.
Ronaldo doesn’t blame him. He really understands how does it feel to be in a defeated team of a match and also his frustration. Ronaldo hopes his former teammate in Real Madrid won’t get the additional sanction.
“I told him to calm down, as he risked an even worse ban. He didn’t do much, he was annoyed at losing the game. That’s understandable. I hope he is not punished too severely,” Ronaldo hopes.

After the match, Higuain apologized to everyone involved and witnessed him lose control. He realized that he was wrong.
“I want to apologize to the team, the fans and the coach for my reaction. The referee knows what I told him, and I think sometimes they (the referees) have to understand the situations. But he made his decision and I want to apologize again,” Higuain said.
“When you play against a team where you used to play, the emotions are different, but I take responsibility and it won’t happen again. We were losing, and we aren’t robots.”
“I’m aware that we (players) are also an example to children, and my reaction wasn’t the right one,” Higuain concluded.
