Ruben Neves Forgets the Wolves’ Defeat from Liverpool
By db-admin
DBasia.news – After losing to Liverpool, Ruben Neves has asked Wolverhampton Wanderers to forget about it and look on to the future.
Wolverhampton hosted Liverpool in the 2019-2020 Premier League match. The match took place at Molineux Arena, Thursday (1/23) and ended with a victory for the Reds.
The defeat made Wolverhampton fail to hinder Liverpool. As a result, Jurgen Klopp’s troops are increasingly firm at the top of the Premier League standings.
In addition, Wolverhampton has extended their bad record. From seven matches in various events, Nuno Espirito Santo’s troops only won one victory.
Nevertheless, Ruben Neves has asked his team-mates to remain confident. Neves considers Wolves to have played quite well against Liverpool.
“We have to remain confident because when playing against Liverpool we played quite well. Wolverhampton must keep going and play like this,” Ruben Neves stated.
“If we play like this, we are closer to victory than defeat. Wolverhampton must continue to work hard in every game.”
“Wolverhampton’s performance was good against Liverpool. We played well from the start, but in the second half it was seen who would want to win,” he added.
Currently, Wolverhampton is ranked seventh in the Premier League standings with 34 points. The acquisition is the same as Tottenham and Manchester United who are superior on goal difference.
