Sandro Wagner Doesn’t Like to Use Social Media

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  The 31-year-old attacker, Sandro Wagner, has no problem being called an ancient person because of his principle of disliking social media.

In Europe and throughout the world, many footballers use social media as a forum for them to communicate with fans or just give up steam. Wagner is not one of those players.

Wagner, who now plays in China with Tianjin Teda, sees social media as a ‘big devil’. He worries that people will forget about their real life if they keep using social media.

“I have always been seen as a stone age man (ancient) only because I am not actively using this insignificant thing. Social media for me is like a big devil,” Wagner told t-online.de.

“The people inside make it a place to live by sharing their lives with others. They can do nothing and get money from it if I watch them eat breakfast.”

The former Werder Bremen, Hertha Berlin and Hoffenheim player also sees social media as a potential danger for the next generation. The younger generation, especially children, can follow the wrong path when using social media without special supervision.

“I see the danger for our children to be more stupid and in the end, be unhappy because they are following the wrong example, pretending to live in a glamorous world,” Wagner added.

“If it’s all just about asking the internet community and fake artists, how do I cut hair or color my face in three minutes, then something is going in the wrong direction.”

The player who has packed eight caps and five goals with the German national team understands life in this modern world.

“Feeling something directly from your experience, developing through real contact with others, the feelings of others when you talk to them, these things have begun to diminish,” added Wagner.

“However, maybe all of that is normal nowadays, and I’m not normal, maybe that’s the condition,” he explained.
