DBasia.news – Chelsea achieved a special victory against the defending champion of Premier League, Manchester City, on the 16th-week on Sunday (9/12) at Stamford Bridge.

In the 2-0 match, N’Golo Kante scored the goal at 45′ and David Luiz at 78′. Despite the three points achievement, Maurizio Sarri’s strategy also raised the question because putting Eden Hazard as the False 9.

The False 9 strategy is putting the center-forward goes to the midfield to support the squad. Mostly, the False 9 player isn’t the real center-forward player.

Despite the satisfying victory and impressive performance of Hazard, the 59-year-old manager dropped the hint that he would place the Belgium player as the False 9 more often.

“We had Eden for the first time in that position [striker] and in the first 20 or 25 minutes we didn’t work well in the defensive movements in the opposition half, but fortunately we defended well in our half,” Sarri said cited by Evening Standard.

“He had some problems at the beginning of the match but he was great in the second half. Maybe he deserved to score and I think he’s a very good option (in that position). We will play like today in the future, for certain matches of course,” he added.

The performance of 27-year-old player was special, despite the goalless record, Hazard created two assists the key behind two goals of this match.

The victory against The Citizens makes Chelsea steal the fourth position from Arsenal. Unlike Pep Guardiola squad, they must get the first defeat in the Premier League match and let the top position belongs to Liverpool.
