Serge Gnabry’s Appearance Surprised Tony Pullis
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Serge Gnabry appeared extraordinary to win Bayern Munchen’s victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday (2/10) early morning Western Indonesian Time. Gnabry’s development made former West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis very impressed with his performance in the match.
In the Champions League Group B qualifying match, Gnabry contributed four of Bayern’s seven goals to the home goal. Bayern went home with a 7-2 victory.
Gnabry was under the care of Tony Pulis when wearing West Brom’s jersey in 2015. At that time the German player came on loan from Arsenal. Together with West Brom, Gnabry only played Pulis before finally being returned to Arsenal in the middle of the season.
At Arsenal Gnabry also couldn’t break into the main squad and moved to Germany to strengthen Werder Bremen permanently in 2016. A year later Gnabry joined Bayern.
“I was very impressed. We had him at West Brom. We took him on loan. We couldn’t make him ready to compete. As far as I remember we didn’t play him on the Under-21 team,” Pulis told Sky Sports.
“He returned to Arsenal and they sold him. He didn’t seem to be bothered at all and was able to show all his potential,” continued Pulis.
“You may tease me for having had the opportunity to be with him at West Brom. It is amazing to see what he is doing.”
